Guest Content: Rick Callahan

So, I haven't done this before, but my dad recently
sent me some pictures he took with his D300 that
I really liked, so I thought I would share them with
everyone.

He is showcasing his new 4 Piston front brakes that
he acquired for his Race Roadrunner. The second image
is Scott Berberick installing said brakes and the last
one is me saying bye to Kwame before my 460 mile
journey begins.

Getting Dirty.

I genuinely miss working at Callahans.
I miss the grime that would get in your
skin and wouldn't come off, even after
several scrubbings with lava soap. I am
sitting here tonight, 4 days later and 500
miles away with a satisfying amount of
residual oil in my fingernails and cannot
wait for the next 3000 miles to elapse
so I can do it all over again.

Thanks for taking pictures, Dad.

Meats.

It's that time of year again.

Off with the BBS's

On with the Blizzaks.

I miss the lightness already. Cannot wait
for the first big snow.

I got to cut the turkey and then eat the turkey.

Super worth the cumulative 1000 miles of driving for it.

Foggy Day in Sun Prairie.

Perfect for cleaning apartments.

Couch Kwame.

Kwame just got his new "big dog" collar
after graduating from his puppy harness.

He thinks it's nice that people can see the
masking on his chest now.

Like a boss.

25mm in the front and 22mm in the back. Should be installing
this upcoming Wednesday with reviews to follow.

As you can see, Kwame has already scrutinized the quality and
he seems to approve.

Sheehan Park: Sun Prairie Wisconsin.

An amazingly challenging course ended the 2010 CX season
here in Wisconsin. Located about a mile from my house,
Sheehan Park provided some serious elevation changes and
steep muddy climbs for racers to compete with. Another
agonizing treat for the competitors was the harsh cold and
persistant winds that Wisconsin provides mid November.

There was, however, a fairly spacious heated concession and
shelter from the wind for the spectators who braved the wind
in order to cheer the cx'ers on.

Dad's New Bike: 2010 7.7 FX

Picked up a bike for my dad to replace the 7500
he gave to Uncle Steve. At first impression, I am
completely stoked for my dad. The 7.7 come with
some features I did not expect like color matched
Race Aero wheels and Stem. The bike has the new
ISOZONE suspension feature the seat stays which
will both absorb road noise/vibration and wane
my dad off of his suspension seat post.

The fork and seat post are carbon fiber which will
be my fathers first foray in both vertical compliance
and lateral stiffness, but I have faith in his ability
to ride this thing like a champ. Shimano 105 Gruppo
tops the bike off, 10 speed cassette and 3 ring crankset.

I got it just in time for winter so he can look at it for
4-5 Michigan months before tearing up the suburbs.
